Forum Thread: Accutane Canada Pharmacy Discussion

Hey everyone! I've been dealing with severe acne for a while now and my doctor suggested trying Accutane. However, the prices at local pharmacies are quite high. I found some options online from Canada but am not sure if they're legitimate or safe to use. Has anyone had experience ordering Accutane from Canadian pharmacies? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi SkinSavior123,

Thank you for reaching out. It's great to hear that your doctor has recommended Accutane as it can be very effective in treating severe acne. However, I strongly advise against purchasing medications from online sources without verifying their legitimacy.

Why?- Safety: You need to ensure the medication is authentic and hasn't been tampered with.- Regulations: Ordering drugs from abroad bypasses local regulations ensuring quality control.- Medical Supervision: Accutane has several side effects, so you should always be under medical supervision for monitoring.

If cost is a concern, here are some tips:1. Insurance Coverage: Check if your health insurance covers part of the medication or look into programs that offer financial assistance.2. Pharmacy Programs: Some pharmacies have programs where they provide medications at reduced rates based on income.3. Prescription Assistance Programs (PAP): These can help reduce the cost of Accutane.

Please discuss these options with your healthcare provider to find a safe and effective solution!

Thanks for the detailed response, DrMedic420! I understand your concerns about safety and regulation. I'll definitely talk to my doctor more about these options.

Do you have any information on how long it typically takes to see results with Accutane? Also, are there any specific side effects I should be aware of?

You're welcome, SkinSavior123!

Regarding Accutane Results:- Typical Timeline: Many people start seeing improvements within the first month or so of starting treatment. However, it can take up to three months for full benefits.- Consistency: It's crucial to follow your doctors prescribed dosage and schedule consistently.

Side Effects:Accutane is potent and comes with a list of possible side effects:1. Dry Skin and Lips: You might experience dryness, which can be managed by using moisturizers.2. Nosebleeds and Dry Eyes: These are common but usually not severe.3. Muscle Pain and Headaches: Some individuals may feel muscle pain or headaches, which could improve over time.4. Liver Function Changes: Regular monitoring is essential to ensure the medication isn't affecting your liver negatively.5. Mood Changes: Some people experience mood swings; if you notice significant changes in how you're feeling, its important to discuss this with your doctor.

Important Note:Accutane can cause severe birth defects and should not be taken during pregnancy. If you are a female of childbearing age, reliable contraception must be used throughout the treatment period.

Make sure to have regular check-ups with your dermatologist or primary care physician to monitor for any adverse reactions and ensure that Accutane is working effectively for you.
